Interior Illustration from Victoriana: Marvels of Science and Steampunk by Cubicle 7.
The Naacal are a new race for Victoriana featured in Marvels of Science and Steampunk. I was lucky enough to produce the first illustration for one of these guys so had a bit of creative freedom in designing their look. The idea was for a Polynesian influenced culture and a semi-aquatic, frog-like loking creature.
Here the good Naacal Doctor is trying to give one of his lucky patients a helping hand

I really like how there's a ton of detail in this picture, but you've managed to keep the three-dimensionality of it in tact. The hands and sleeves are fabulous.
